A "tour de force" by expert glassmakers collaborating with wine professionals has created this unique decanter that is truely destined to compliment the rarest of vintage wines! The wide and generous mouth encourages careful decanting. Then as the wine is released, it is constricted in the narrow neck only to burst, fan shapped into the body of the decanter, opening up to "breathe" as it does so. Finally, as your wine settles into the broad belly of the MASTER DECANTER and "spreads" you can begin to appreciate all the subtle nuances of the texture and hue.

Porto Niepoort! With time, Tawny Dee acquires great wisdom and subtleness through ageing in small old oak casks exhibiting discrete characters of dried stone fruits.
White
Porto Niepoort! White port is made from white grapes: Malvasia, Viosinho and Gouveio. The juice is fermented as a white wine until the fermentation is stopped by the addition of pure grape brandy. After spending one year in large wood vats the wine is transferred to Pipes (550 liter oak barrels). It is then aged in wood until at least 3 years before bottling.

SO.....What are we all about?
The heart of this shop is really great wine and spirits chosen with care after hours of selfless tasting, ably backed and supported by high quality paraphernalia loosely connected to drinking, eating or spoiling yourself .
If you want a £3 bottle of battery acid that you'll persuade yourself is "ok with a curry" you'll be disappointed; but if you want something to drink that will impress and add to your understanding of the massively true maxim, "You get what you pay for" (more elegantly put by Ruskin when he said it was much more important to realise the value of something than to know its price), then you'll understand what we are.
We don't sell cheap wine, but amongst our portfolio you will discover real value and above all quality. In the main they are sourced from independent, specialist suppliers who only supply to the restaurant trade.
There is a massive pool of knowledge and experience behind these selections and the ultimate decision is mine entirely and based on prejudice. Wine is a subject so vast that even a little knowledge is dangerous, but as with art, if you like it that is the most important thing.
